【摘要】:Therelationshipofthelengthofapieceoffabricandthelengthofyarninthefabriccanbedeterminedaccuratelyonlybemeasuringthelengthofyarnenteringtheloomandthelengthoffabricmadefromthatparticularlengthofyarn.Inmostcases,however,thedeterminationmustofnecessitybemadeonawovenfabricbymeasuringthelengthofyarnremovedfromameasuredlengthoffabric,thusintroducingcertainvariationsthatwillinfluencetheaccuracyofthetest.Yarnremovedfromthewovenfabriccontainsundulationsorwavesthathavebeenintroducedbytheweavingprocess.Heat,moisture,andmechanicalshrinkageonsubsequentfinishingoperationsmayaccentuatetheseundulations,andinallprobability,increasetheforcetopullthemoutandstraightentheyarn.Inordertoaccuratelymeasurethelengthoftheyarnaftertheremovalofthecrimp,theseundulationsmustbepulledoutwithoutelongatingtheyarn.Insomecases,theminimumforcenecessarytostraightentheyarnwillcauseacertainamountoftheelongationtotakeplace,thusincreasingthelengthoftheyarn.Also,stressesimposedupontheyarnduringtheweavingprocessmayhavebeensufficienttostretchtheyarnbeyonditselasticlimit,againincreasingitslength.Itisrecognizedthatdeterminationmadebymeasuringlengthofyarnremovedfromameasuredlengthoffabricmaytendtogivecrimpvaluesthataresomewhathigherthanthecrimpintheyarnasitlayinthefabric.Inthecaseoffabricsmadefromyarnsthatexhibitdifferentialshrinkage,oryarnsofwidelydifferentcount,oryarnswovenatdifferenttensions,thecrimpofeachtypeofyarninthefabricmustbedeterminedandreportedseparately.Thistestmethodcanbeusedforacceptancetestingofcommercialshipmentsbutcomparisonsshouldbemadewithcautionbecauseinformationonestimatesofbetween-laboratoryprecisionislimitedasnotedin13.1.Iftherearedifferencesofpracticalsignificancebetweenreportedtestresultsfortwolaboratories(ormore),comparativetestsshouldbeperformedtodetermineiftheirisastatisticalbiasbetweenthem,usingcompetentstatisticalassistance.Asaminimum,ensurethetestsamplestobeusedareashomogeneousaspossible,aredrawnfromthematerialfromwhichthedisparatetestresultswereobtained,andarerandomlyassignedinequalnumberstoeachlaboratoryfortesting.Thetestresultsfromthetwolaboratoriesshouldbecomparedusingastatisticaltestforunpaireddata,ataprobabilitylevelchosenpriortothetestingseries.Ifabiasisfound,eitheritscausemustbefoundandcorrected,orfuturetestresultsforthatmaterialmustbeadjustedinconsiderationoftheknownbias.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthedeterminationoftherelationshipbetweenthelengthofapieceoffabricandthelengthoftheyarninthefabricbymeasurementoftheyarncrimpandyarntake-up.1.2Thistestmethodappliestowovenfabrics.1.3ThevaluesstatedineitherSIorinch-poundunitsaretoberegardedseparatelyasstandard.Withinthetext,theinch-poundunitsareshowninparentheses.Thevaluesstatedineachsystemarenotexactequivalents;therefore,eachsystemshallbeusedindependentlyoftheother.Combiningvaluesfromthetwosystemsmayresultinnonconformancewiththespecification.1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
