【摘要】:Thisstandardprovidescommonelementsforbasictime-criticalandnon-time-criticalmessagingcommunicationsbetweenapplicationprogramsinanautomationenvironmentandmaterialspecifictoType16fieldbus.Theterm“time-critical”isusedtorepresentthepresenceofatime-window,withinwhichoneormorespecifiedactionsarerequiredtobecompletedwithsomedefinedlevelofcertainty.Failuretocompletespecifiedactionswithinthetimewindowrisksfailureoftheapplicationsrequestingtheactions,withattendantrisktoequipment,plantandpossiblyhumanlife.ThisstandarddefineinanabstractwaytheexternallyvisibleserviceprovidedbythedifferentTypesoffieldbusApplicationLayerintermsof?anabstractmodelfordefiningapplicationresources(objects)capableofbeingmanipulatedbyusersviatheuseoftheFALservice,?theprimitiveactionsandeventsoftheservice;?theparametersassociatedwitheachprimitiveactionandevent,andtheformwhichtheytake;and?theinterrelationshipbetweentheseactionsandevents,andtheirvalidsequences.Thepurposeofthisstandardistodefinetheservicesprovidedto?theFALuserattheboundarybetweentheuserandtheApplicationLayeroftheFieldbusReferenceModel,and?SystemsManagementattheboundarybetweentheApplicationLayerandSystemsManagementoftheFieldbusReferenceModel.ThisstandardspecifiesthestructureandservicesoftheIECfieldbusApplicationLayer,inconformancewiththeOSIBasicReferenceModel(ISO/IEC7498)andtheOSIApplicationLayerStructure(ISO/IEC9545).TheprincipalobjectiveofthisstandardistospecifythesyntaxandbehavioroftheapplicationlayerprotocolthatconveystheapplicationlayerservicesdefinedinIEC61158-5-16.Asecondaryobjectiveistoprovidemigrationpathsfrompreviously-existingindustrialcommunicationsprotocols.ItisthislatterobjectivewhichgivesrisetothediversityofprotocolsstandardizedinsubpartsofIEC61158-6.
