【摘要】:Testsmadeonrigidcellularmaterialsinaccordancewiththeconditionsdescribedbythistestmethodcanbeofconsiderablevalueincomparingtheirburningcharacteristics.Theheightanddurationofflameandthemasspercentretainedbythespecimenarerecorded.Thistestmethodhasbeenappliedtoflexiblecellularmaterialsandotherplastics,butnodetailedstudieshavebeenconductedtodetermineitsgeneralapplicabilitytothesematerials.Inthisprocedure,thespecimensaresubjectedtooneormorespecificsetsoflaboratorytestconditions.Ifdifferenttestconditionsaresubstitutedortheend-useconditionsarechanged,itmaynotbepossiblebyorfromthistesttopredictchangesinthefire-test-responsecharacteristicsmeasured.Theresultsarethereforevalidonlyforthefire-test-exposureconditionsdescribedinthisprocedure.1.1Thisisafire-test-responsestandard.Thistestmethodcoversasmall-scalelaboratoryscreeningprocedureforcomparingrelativeextentandtimeofburningandlossofmassofrigidthermosetcellularplastics.Thistestmethodistobeusedsolelytoestablishrelativeburningcharacteristicsandshallnotbeconsideredorusedasafire-hazardclassification.1.1.1Thistestmethodshouldnotbeusedformaterialsthatdripormeltunderthetestconditions.1.2Duringthecourseofcombustion,gasesorvapors,orboth,areevolvedwhicharehazardoustopersonnel.Adequateprecautionsshouldbetakentoprotecttheoperator.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Aspecificprecautionarystatementisgivenin1.2.1.4Thisstandardisusedtomeasureanddescribetheresponseofmaterials,products,orassembliestoheatandflameundercontrolledconditions,butdoesnotbyitselfincorporateallfactorsrequiredforfirehazardorfireriskassessmentofmaterials,products,orassembliesunderactualfireconditions.Note18212;ThereisnosimilarorequivalentISOstandard.
