【摘要】:Thesetestmethodsdescribetechniquesforassessingtheperformancecharacteristicsoftiresinawinterenvironmentonsnowandicesurfacesinastandardizedmanner.Whenonlysnowisreferredtohereafter,itshouldbeunderstoodthaticeisimpliedasappropriate.Aseriesofmaneuversareconductedtocharacterizeseveralaspectsofthetireperformanceinsnow,sinceasinglemaneuverisnotsufficienttocharacterizeallaspectsofatire’performance.1.1Thesetestmethodscovertheevaluationoftireperformanceonsnowandicesurfacesutilizingpassengercarorlighttruckvehicles.Sincethetiresareevaluatedaspartofatire/vehiclesystem,theconclusionsreachedmaynotbeapplicabletothesametirestestedonadifferentvehicle.1.2Thesetestmethodsdonotpurporttoidentifyeverymaneuverusefulfordeterminingtireperformanceinawinterenvironment.1.3Thesetestmethodsarenotmeanttoevaluatevehicleperformance.Allowingforthevariabilityoftestresultswithdifferentvehicles,theseprocedureshavebeendevelopedandselectedtoevaluaterelativetire-snowperformance.1.4Thesetestmethodsaresuitableforresearchanddevelopmentpurposes,wheretiresarecomparedduringasingleseriesoftests.Theymaynotbesuitableforregulatorystatutesorspecificationacceptancebecausethevaluesobtainedmaynotnecessarilyagreeorcorrelateeitherinrankorderorabsolutetractionperformancelevelwiththoseobtainedunderotherenvironmentalconditionsonothersurfacesorthesamesurfaceafteradditionaluse.1.5ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.1.6Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.

【摘要】:Thesetestmethodsdescribetechniquesforassessingtheperformancecharacteristicsoftiresinawinterenvironmentonsnowandicesurfacesinastandardizedmanner.Whenonlysnowisreferredtohereafter,itshouldbeunderstoodthaticeisimpliedasappropriate.Aseriesofmaneuversareconductedtocharacterizeseveralaspectsofthetireperformanceinsnow,sinceasinglemaneuverisnotsufficienttocharacterizeallaspectsofatire’performance.1.1Thesetestmethodscovertheevaluationoftireperformanceonsnowandicesurfacesutilizingpassengercarorlighttruckvehicles.Sincethetiresareevaluatedaspartofatire/vehiclesystem,theconclusionsreachedmaynotbeapplicabletothesametirestestedonadifferentvehicle.1.2Thesetestmethodsdonotpurporttoidentifyeverymaneuverusefulfordeterminingtireperformanceinawinterenvironment.1.3Thesetestmethodsarenotmeanttoevaluatevehicleperformance.Allowingforthevariabilityoftestresultswithdifferentvehicles,theseprocedureshavebeendevelopedandselectedtoevaluaterelativetire-snowperformance.1.4Thesetestmethodsaresuitableforresearchanddevelopmentpurposes,wheretiresarecomparedduringasingleseriesoftests.Theymaynotbesuitableforregulatorystatutesorspecificationacceptancebecausethevaluesobtainedmaynotnecessarilyagreeorcorrelateeitherinrankorderorabsolutetractionperformancelevelwiththoseobtainedunderotherenvironmentalconditionsonothersurfacesorthesamesurfaceafteradditionaluse.1.5ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.1.6Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
