【摘要】:ThispartofEN12923specifiesguidelinestobeemployedwhenundertakingcorrosiontestsonadvancedtechnicalceramics.Themechanismsofchemicalattackonadvancedceramicsarewidelyvaried,anddependonthechemicalandphasecompositionandthephasemorphologyofthematerial,aswellasthecorrosiveconditionsimposed.Foranyparticularengineeringapplicationitisusuallynecessarytomodelexpectedconditionsofuseinordertoobtainquantitativedataontheabilitytowithstandtheproposedend-useconditions.ThisEuropeanStandardisnotrestrictedtospecificmaterialtypes,nordoesitprescribeparticulartestconditionsoratestduration.Theactualtestingrequirementsmightbeveryspecific,forexample,inordertoinvestigatethesuitabilityofarangeofmaterialsforagivenapplicationinwhichcertainspecifiedconditionsoccur.ThisEuropeanStandardprovidesrecommendedmethodsforundertakingtheassessmentoftheeffectofcorrosion,andprovidesguidanceonpracticalissuesrelatedtoundertakingthetests.
